For this music video my roles have been being in charge of filming the shots, contacting the artist, creating the storyboard and helping Duresh with the editing. In my opinion my favourite role would have been filming the shots and contacting Cady Groves as I have twitter and so does she, so it was easy to contact her. I don’t think creating the storyboard was my strongest role as it helps if the pictures are clear to help the filming run smoothly. As I am not the best at drawing, I had to write down more notes to help the rest of the group understand what was going to happen in each particular shot e.g the emotion, the type of shot, the location and how long the shot should be. As we are using final cut to edit our music video, I felt that when It was my turn to edit some parts, I wasn’t going to feel as confident when using IMovie. However, as I was editing more, I got used to Final Cut and prefer it to IMovie as it has more features and we can do a lot more with the video to make it look more professional.

recording over old stuff
Throughout this project we have learnt new skills. One thing ive learnt is that we always need to stop the tape at the right second as we could record over our work or someone elses work which we did do. However it was okay as the piece we recorded over wasnt needed.

What i learnt from our preliminary task
I learnt many things from our preliminary task that will help us create a more realistic and high standard music video.
One of the things i learnt was that the shots cant be long as they need to be short to grab the audience's attention. This way, they may have to watch the music video a few times to fully understand the video as well as making sure that they didnt miss anything. By doing this, it will promote the artist as well as the song.
I also learnt about how to make lypsyncing look realistic. For our preliminary task our artist mimed the lyrics which we thought would be the best way. However, looking back on it now, i see that its not the best technique. I have now learnt that whispering the lyrics or singing along to the song in a low voice makes it more realistic which is what we want our music to be.
