This poster would be used on billboards because they are big and when people pass it they may look and take notice.
Having a quote from a magazine helps the audience see what an established business thinks of her could help them make a decision.

Album Cover

The location for this photoshoot was inspired by Taylor Swift's single cover for 'Mine' because i see Tia as a country/pop/indie artist. The front of the cover is simple because i think simple covers are the most effective in terms of having the name of the album and the artists name.

The back cover like most others has a track list with a bonus track, a bar code and the record company's name on so it looks authentic like other album covers. I think this album cover represents the overall star image of Tia because the dress she is wearing is casual. Having the guitar in the middle of the record company's name suggests that she is a rocker in terms of liking to have variety in her music.

Single Cover

I used still frames from the music video for 'Im Still Here' because i thought it was suitable to have reference from the music video. The image i used for the front cover in my opinion sets the tone of the single and the kind of artist Tia is. Compared to the album cover i decided to change the font because it suggests that the single is more soft which is what i think the font represents. I used the heart for the back cover because it is so simple and it gives the overall tone that the single is about love and the fact that its candles formed into a heart can suggest that the love goes out, just like the candles do.

This is what i will give to a few of my classmates so i can see if the music video is right for the target audience we as a group want it to be for. Feedback will also show me what we did well as a group as well as what could be improved

Overall i am pleased with the outcome and believe we have used the different shots when needed to help create a relationship between the lyrics and visuals.

How i see the artist

I see our artist as a mix of Taylor Swift,Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato. Their album covers, star image and music is similar to what we want 'Tia' to be like. The song that we chose is similar to these artists as most of their songs are to do wih relationships that have ended.

Taylor swifts single cover 'Mine' inspired my interpretation for Tia's album cover. Taylor swift's genre is mostly country and its shown in this cover. Her being outside and in white shows off her purity and her love for being outside. In her music video for 'Mine' there are shots of her being outside, its a reference to her music video. For my album cover i would therefore have an image of 'Tia' outside and looking indirectly to the camera just like Taylor does.

I also like this album cover from Kelly Clarkson because even though its really simple, it gives a sense of drama. The use of her biting the necklace, gives me a sense of her being a rock girl. I also like the simple font for the artists name and the album title. I also like the colour used as there is a pallette of bronze and black and white which i think suggests tradional as well as different. In my album cover analysis's most of the albums have alot of bright colours, so by being different it suggests that the artist is individual and stand out from the crowd to be noticed.



So for my album cover i would take aspects from these two albums and incorporte them into one. I would use the location and costume from Taylor Swift's single and the font from Kelly Clarkson's album . By mixing the two genres, i will create an artist who can do many genres.

My roles

For this music video my roles have been being in charge of filming the shots, contacting the artist, creating the storyboard and helping Duresh with the editing. In my opinion my favourite role would have been filming the shots and contacting Cady Groves as I have twitter and so does she, so it was easy to contact her. I don’t think creating the storyboard was my strongest role as it helps if the pictures are clear to help the filming run smoothly. As I am not the best at drawing, I had to write down more notes to help the rest of the group understand what was going to happen in each particular shot e.g the emotion, the type of shot, the location and how long the shot should be.  As we are using final cut to edit our music video, I felt that when It was my turn to edit some parts, I wasn’t going to feel as confident when using IMovie. However, as I was editing more, I got used to Final Cut and prefer it to IMovie as it has more features and we can do a lot more with the video to make it look more professional.

Music Videos with the stereotypical video

Lauren Alaina is an American Artist and her latest Music Video 'Georgia Peaches' has the stereotypical features of what i think an American Country music video is.

At the beginning of the music video the type of car that we the audience see suggests its set in America because its the type of car that has been used in other videos as well such as....

The costumes that Lauren and her extra's where also suggests its American. The checkered tied up shirt, the boots, the cowboy hat and the diner lady's uniform in my opinion signify country and American because i have seen the same costume on a diner lady in the movie ' Another Cinderella Story'.

Having the location at the diner represents the 'all american singer' because in my opinion having a diner immediately gives the audience the idea that its set in America.

 This is what i see when i first go onto the website. It shows me the name of the band and the girls in the group. The names at the bottom help me recognise who is who if i dont know the band that well.

 This allows the fans to keep up to date the latest news from the band so they don't miss anything.

 The social network sites form an interaction between the band and their fans because they will be contacting them to find out all the information and to try and get the band to notice them.

Having videos ont he website in my opinion makes the fans feel as if the video is directed to them, which it is. It allows the fans to see what the band does when they are not working.

Fierce Panda Records is an independent record company that has been going on for more than a decade.

From my research i think they are a company that sign indie artists because they have signed 'Electricty In Our Homes' 'Dirty Little Faces' and 'Hundred Reasons'.

On February 24th 1994 they put out their very first single. In the spring of 2004 Fierce Panda celebrated their 10the year by releasing a record called 'decade:ten years of fierce panda'

Columbia Records is an American record Label which is owned by Japan's Sony Music Entertainment 
Dorris Day, Il Divo, Billy Joel and so many more have been signed with Columbia Records.
